Academic Behavior in IE

The field of Industrial Engineering is the gathering of knowledge from several fields for a single entity, industry, for a single purpose, optimization. The field of Industrial engineering is shaped, defined, and owes its existence to this. I will use the journals, MIS Quarterly, Science, Management International, Interface, and Quality Safety Healthcare, to display how published works act within academic sphere of Industrial engineering as it encircles industry. This essay will provide readers with the insight to form written works for publication in each journal and where best to publish depending on your own work. It will also allow the user to have a brief glance into these journals which act within industrial engineering academia. I will highlight the journals or parts of articles from each respective journal along specific qualities such as: audience and language, author and tone, style and structure, purpose and vision.
